T<\/span>hankfully we live in a world in which there are endless tastes, possibilities, or options for each person. We live in a world in which imagination is the limit of our desires<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With this in mind, I must say that it seems that our society is permeated by sexuality and everything around it<\/span><\/strong>. However, this is not something new or a new fashion.<\/p>\n

This is how we get to the world of pornography. Pornography has always been part of the life of our society.<\/p>\n

About pornography<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

But before going into the dark details of the pornographic industry<\/span><\/strong> it is necessary to understand a little what is behind it. The term pornography refers to all material that represents sexual or erotic acts<\/span><\/strong> with the aim of causing a sexual excitement in the observer.<\/p>\n

We must understand that pornography belongs to humans and is as old as the world itself<\/span><\/strong>. So much so, that the cavemen painted tails, breasts, vulvas and bizarre penises.<\/p>\n

Without going any further, we should only remember the existence of Kama-sutra<\/span><\/strong>, an ancient Indian text about human sexual behavior.\u00a0It is considered as the basic work on love in Sanskrit literature.<\/p>\n

Vatsiaiana<\/span><\/strong>, who wrote the book, believed that there are 12 basic ways of making love and 8 main positions. It is a reference text for many people around the world.<\/p>\n

He was a religious and writer from India, at the time of the Gupta Empire (the Gupta Empire was one of the largest political and military empires in the history of India. It was ruled by the Gupta dynasty between 320 and 550 AD).<\/p>\n

Sexuality as an industry<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

But, here is what has happened. In our world, money transforms everything it touches<\/span><\/strong>, it was inevitable that it would turn sexuality into an industry. Pornography is present in several spaces of our lives, some of them are: animation, sculpture, photography, painting, literature and cinema<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, there is telephone and online sex<\/span><\/strong>, this is the result of our constant technological advances. In these last decades, pornography reached levels like never before in all history. Internet and audiovisual world: thank you! (not really).<\/p>\n

At the time when commercial cinema flourishes in the first years of the twentieth century, the first porn short films came to the screens. In 1915, A Free Ride<\/span><\/strong> is one of the first pornographic films. This film introduced elements into the porn world as a simple plot that connect sexual scenes, as well as positions and practices such as voyeurism and threesomes.<\/p>\n

We must clarify that the Internet has augmented both its production and its consumption<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Speaking openly<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

No one speaks openly about the subject. Very few people recognize watching porn so there is a huge mass of consumers.<\/p>\n

When I started talking with Israel about the porn industry I realized how broad and detailed this business can be<\/span><\/strong>, there are too many things that I don’t know, there are too many questions that flooded me.<\/p>\n

Israel is Peruvian<\/span><\/strong>, lives in Madrid and sporadically is a porn actor<\/span><\/strong> and also an advisor to women who want to enter as actresses.<\/p>\n

Laura Viera A:<\/span><\/strong> Did you study anything?
\nIsrael:<\/span><\/strong> Yes, interior design and Reiki.<\/p>\n

Laura Viera A:<\/span><\/strong> How did you get in touch with the producer?
\nIsrael:<\/span><\/strong> Well, through an AD that requested actors for a Bukkake<\/span><\/strong> party.<\/p>\n

His work as a porn actor can be seen in several shoots of Bukkake<\/span><\/strong>, Gang Bang<\/span><\/strong>, orgies<\/span><\/strong> and threesomes<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. When he started as an actor he was very morbid because according to him, not everything is as one imagines. But, once I was naked and the other people too, no.<\/p>\n

Laura Viera A:<\/span><\/strong> What are the differences in those styles?
\nIsrael:<\/span> Gang Bang<\/a><\/span><\/strong> is like an orgy but in American version, by name. They are one girl and several men. Trio, it doesn’t need explanation and a Bukkake<\/a><\/span><\/strong> party is a lot of men interacting with a single woman and in the end they end up in her mouth. And, as a final scene, with the help of a container, everyone’s sperm is taken.<\/p>\n

Laura Viera A:<\/strong><\/span> Where you shocked, impressed?
\nIsrael:<\/span><\/strong> Not really. I’ve been watching porn since I’m fifteen. In part it is like a fantasy to be there.<\/p>\n

Not everything is as it seems<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

According to him, not everything is as it seems at the time of filming the movie. Starting with the fact that people think it’s all about sleeping with someone but in reality it’s the opposite.<\/p>\n

Laura Viera A:<\/span><\/strong> Does the porn industry pay well?
\nIsrael:<\/strong><\/span> It depends. In the Bukkake it is according to what you finish; 150 euros for a huge ejaculation, 100 euros for a large one and 50 euros for a normal one. In the rest it is standard: 200 to 400 euros per film or short.<\/p>\n

Laura Viera A:<\/span><\/strong> Sorry, how do you determine who did more or less?
\nIsrael:<\/span><\/strong> After the recording, the videos are analyzed in slow motion and with a number that each actor has. This determines how much. There is also a matter of sexual sacrifice since you cant have sex for at least five days before the shoot in order to ejaculate a lot.\u00a0It depends a lot on how you get excited and how you control it.<\/p>\n

When discussing the issue about diseases in the porn industry,<\/span><\/strong> Israel assures me that from the moment he has participated there have never been diseases. This also has to do with the fact that all people go through medical exams before each admission that are renewed every two months.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

There are two medical centers that have an agreement with the producer where he works (he never gave me the name of the producer), one is specialized in women and the other in men. They grant the analytics and all the necessary tests.<\/p>\n

He doesn’t want to be a porn actor forever. Now that he is part of the production team he is much more at ease. Although he assures me that he is not ashamed, he makes it clear that only a few close friends know what he does.<\/p>\n

Laura Viera A:<\/span><\/strong> How has the transition from actor to production been carried out?
\nIsrael:<\/span><\/strong> It was time for me to do that. Now I choose my schedule since I am an advisor and I can coordinate time. I could not coordinate the schedule before, it all depended on the shooting schedule. In regards to money, the actor earns more according to his performance and his sacrifices and should not have as much taste for customer service, so to speak. As an advisor I earn less but I have to deal with the distrust of the girls.<\/p>\n

Laura Viera A:<\/span><\/strong> What is the difference between prostitution and porn actress \/ actor for you?
\nIsrael:<\/span><\/strong> There is a lot of difference, but I think it depends on the type of culture that anyone has. The porn actress<\/span><\/strong> will always be the worst viewed and they are in the public eye but they will earn more fame and money<\/span><\/strong>. A true actress doesn’t get payed her for her services, they are payed for pretending she likes it! 90% of the actresses were not prostitutes, they just like the fame, atmosphere and money. You have to be a little more open minded so as not to confuse an actress with a prostitute.<\/span><\/strong> You can pay the prostitute 1000 euros to sleep with an old fat man, an actress just won’t do it.<\/p>\n

Half truths<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Laura Viera A:<\/span><\/strong> Are you married? What does your wife think of your work?
\nIsrael:<\/strong><\/span> Yes and she does not know. She thinks I have another job. I don’t usually disappear for days, I have established schedules and days so I don’t have to realize.<\/p>\n

Laura Viera A:<\/span><\/strong> What does she think you do?
\nIsrael:<\/span><\/strong> Some extra work. Apart from that, there is a lot of trust between us and she is not calling me every moment or asking where I am going.<\/p>\n

Laura Viera A:<\/span><\/strong> How do you not know? Why don’t you tell her? Aren’t you afraid that she finds out?
\nIsrael:<\/span><\/strong> I think she wouldn’t like it because there is contact with other girls and she can see it as infidelity and she wouldn’t understand it. Yes it scares me but it is the risk that you run<\/p>\n

Laura Viera A:<\/span><\/strong> If the situation were reversed, would you like to know?
\nIsrael:<\/strong><\/span> Of course not! The truth always hurts and the lie is more transparent.<\/p>\n

One of the biggest problems is that since sexuality is a taboo subject for so many people, families are talked about it and as a result teenagers’ sexual education is left to the pornographic industry.<\/p>\n

Israel tells me the following: technology and free access to porn pages makes sexuality more free.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

There is a certain path that all people must travel … and not by watching porn a man is going to take a woman against the wall, pull her hair, etc. Sex is free and you don’t have to do so many steroptypes.<\/span><\/strong> More to teach you have to guide teenagers.<\/p>\n

Laura Viera A:<\/span><\/strong> What is the truth of the porn world?
\nIsrael:<\/span><\/strong> We all have some kind of fetish that gives us morbidity or that we simply do with our partners. It is in my opinion something that must end<\/span><\/strong>. Why are you going to want to do something with a whore and not with your partner?<\/p>\n

An industry without brakes<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Sexuality is not exhausted in anatomical knowledge. Sexuality is much more and that’s why we spend our whole lives talking about it, that’s why it’s so present in our society.<\/span><\/strong> A perfect example of this is what we make jokes about, we have a thousand words that have double meaning, emojis also have a sexual sense.<\/p>\n

But, well, this is not about sexuality but the porn industry. And, that is an industry that seems to have no brake. People are allowed to incite forbidden, taboo, morbidity. Most European countries also have local pornography producers that face different levels of competition with international producers.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that the legal status of pornography depends on the country in which it is located. In Ukraine, Belarus and Bulgaria the production and distribution is illegal. In Hungary it is known for having liberal laws regarding pornography.<\/p>\n

When we focus on the Spanish case we find a bit of everything. But, perhaps the most important thing is to know what according to the researcher Rom\u00e1n Gubern, the first porn productions were made during the twenties in Barcelona. They were commissioned by the Count of Ramones who was a great fan of the genre.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, more recently, in 1993 the International Erotic Film Festival of Barcelona was born. It is one of the most important festivals of the genre in the ancient continent.<\/p>\n

The conclusions<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Sex turns our faces red, makes us smile or embarrassed, makes us sweat. In many occasions and spaces it is a taboo subject and it is not “good taste” to talk about it in public.<\/p>\n

Something that is clear is that many people<\/span><\/strong>, the vast majority, enter the porn world because they need more income<\/span><\/strong>. The porn world has held out their hand and has not cared to lose their dignity for money.<\/p>\n
