N<\/span>ow that I am traveling with this backpack<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, were I have all of my belongings, I find myself with too much time to think. Ok, it\u2019s not too much, but I do have the space to think about certain things that I normally can\u2019t do. So, here are some of my backpacking thoughts.<\/p>\n

What would I do if I could travel to the past? Would I change anything?<\/p>\n

Well, when I think about changing anything, I immediately think about an episode from Dr. Who<\/span><\/strong><\/a> where it is said that you should never alter the events in the past because the future would be drastically changed (it\u2019s logical).<\/p>\n

But, if I could change anything, I would probably twerk a thing or two. But nothing major.<\/p>\n

Anyhow, I consider that if a person is happy with who they are the best thing would be to leave the act untouched.<\/span><\/strong> Nothing to change, no moments to regret. And, probably I am talking more than I should but I guess every experience that we have takes us into the path that makes us the people we are.<\/p>\n

I have realised that I don\u2019t need so many material things. I need, in a nutshell, food, water and a place to spent the night. I have gone through different stages of my life as the years have gone by.<\/p>\n

I have learned this as I have traveled. As I have traveled I have learned to count every penny and set boundaries.<\/strong><\/span> I have given myself limitations and as it turned out, it was the right thing to do.<\/p>\n

Now, I am thinking that if actual time machines existed people wouldn\u2019t use them for the greater good; to help or avoid during a catastrophe, a genocide\u2026<\/span><\/strong> no, people would travel for pure selfish reasons. To erase words that should have not been spoken, to prevent a fight, etc. I am sure!<\/p>\n

I<\/span> believe that I am a happy backpack traveller due to hundreds of reasons. Some of them are that I don\u2019t really need much, I have with me themes important things. I learned to let go, I really love that.<\/span><\/strong> If I find a reason to stop travelling I do it without much hesitation or drama, if not I keep on.<\/p>\n

I have learned that everything surprises me, just like when i was a kid. The world is an amazing place it\u2019s just that we become cynical.<\/p>\n

In this backpack, were nothing really fits and at the same time everything that I need to go around the word, I have realised that people collect moments of life, bits and pieces of memories, colores, tastes, good decisions and mistakes.<\/p>\n

I believe that traveling around the world shouldn\u2019t be hard. It doesn’t matter if its only a few months or weeks here and there, it\u2019s important to see what\u2019s out there. Likewise, it\u2019s up to you to make the dream come true and take the first step.<\/p>\n

A<\/span>ll in all, my backpacking thoughts have taught me plenty. Travel opens your eyes. Above all, travelling will make you an incredibly more well-rounded human being. It helps you learn a bit more of who you are and why you tick the way you do. After all, the challenges and opportunities travel lays at your feet help you discover who you are.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Traveling gives you perspective and, we all need perspective from time to time. Meeting people from other cultures will teach you that the way you\u2019ve been looking at the world isn\u2019t the way everybody else does.<\/p>\n

It will teach you to see the world with open eyes and heart, with sahedes of colors. Seeing the world for yourself will improve your vision and your grip on reality.<\/p>\n

So, travelling to fix up those mistakes wouldn\u2019t prevent me from making new ones. People should never give up.<\/strong><\/span> There will always be problems and there will always be solutions.<\/p>\n

T<\/span>omorrow could actually be the most amazing day ever. But for this to happen you have to make the choice today. It is not worth it to spend time thinking in what ifs,<\/span><\/strong> it is better to focus on what will be. At the end of it all, we can only decide how to spend the time we have to live. So just go out with a backpack and jump!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
