C<\/span>ity life is not for everyone. Many will argue that cities are the great havens for knowledge, culture, and social life. As a matter of fact,\u00a0throbbing<\/span>\u00a0cultures<\/span><\/strong> are found in cities because it takes a large group of people wondering around to support museums, concert halls, sports teams, and night-life districts, just to say some.<\/p>\n

People yearn to see central business districts teeming with pedestrian traffic both day and night. Ok, having this said, the female population has had a severe change in their way of life in the past years.<\/p>\n

Changes for women<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Women have been in the center of everything.<\/span><\/strong> And, in the cities we have had the opportunity of coming into our own skins and opening doorsfor ourselves and future generations.<\/p>\n

So, let me start by saying that women outnumber men in college by nearly 20 percent.<\/span> <\/strong>So, our education should be a priority.. always!<\/p>\n

Something that has shocked me is that the \u201cbe yourself\u201d<\/span><\/strong> message is pushed to women much harder than to men. Is there a reason for this? Can you be anyone else? I guess you can because then why would they send that message out there!<\/p>\n

Women should never settle.<\/span><\/strong> Most of the advice that women get in women\u2019s magazines is about men. How to land one, how to keep one, what to do with him once he\u2019s yours. And, truthfully this is absurd.<\/span><\/strong> I mean, finding the right one is not the center of someones life.<\/p>\n

Measuring achievements<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

There\u2019s no denying that living the city life is taxing on both the body and the brain.<\/p>\n

Women have a world of its own.<\/span><\/strong> The truth of man is as follows: first comes career, then comes marriage, then comes baby in the baby carriage.<\/span><\/strong> For nearly three quarters of women (74%) worldwide, this is the order in which they measure accomplishment.<\/p>\n

\n

I know that combining my personal and love life with my career is going to be a challenge.<\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Over the years, the female attitude is changing from housewife to boardroom member, as women in the workplace seek to have it all in life. For many the ultimate goal is to climb the corporate ladder with family.
\nI love the fact that I am a young woman who was raised, thankfully, in an open minded household. My parents said one thing and made it crystal clear: whatever your brothers do you can do also. And, so I did. I grew up with no limitations regrading what I could do, where I could go or how to speak my mind.<\/p>\n

\n

There are so many double standards. We fight for equality, for independence, but when we see women who actually make it we tear them apart.<\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Women around the world<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

I traveled the world and sometimes I found my self surrounded by women who had the same set of mind as I did and others, sadly, who had know limitations. But, those limitations were coming to an end as they saw the world.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Women are stronger than people think. I found out that Spanish women are amazing.<\/span><\/strong> Not only are they gorgeous but they have a strength that is beyond words. They are hard workers, family oriented and they are extremely competitive.<\/p>\n

They have a sense of freedom that is delicious.<\/p>\n

Women in Germany are a complete differente species all together.<\/span><\/strong> They are the center of it all. And, by this I mean that they are so out there, so free to try and experiment, to make mistakes, to challenge themselves that they are willing and able to rule the world.<\/p>\n

But, a stone cold fact remains. Women around the world are delaying childbirth longer and longer.<\/span><\/strong> This is happening for several reasons. Some of them are: financial reasons, wanting to establish their career, desire to travel and because many don\u2019t feel ready.<\/p>\n

Thankfully, nowadays gender roles are completely different than they were even just 30 years ago.<\/p>\n

\n

I know it may sound absurd but if women earn more money than a man they tend to feel intimidated.<\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Women are a strong factor in the work force, out learning, out educating, and out achieving our male counterparts. More university graduates are female compared to male.
\nDespite these improvements to our advancement in the work force, it is still very difficult for women to do both, a career and a family, successfully.
\nI believe women can have it all. But\u2026 not in equal parts. I mean, one of them will be affected in the long run.
\nI\u2019ve seen many full time working moms. It can be done but I think that you have to be very organized, and more importantly, you have to be comfortable with the feeling of guilt. Guilt that you\u2019re not focusing enough on your career, guilt that you\u2019re not a good enough mom, and guilt that you\u2019re not a good enough partner to your spouse.
\nSo, all in all, women in the cities are amazing. Women everywhere are amazing. The “modern woman”<\/span><\/strong> has grownup with loads of pressure, with baggage and thanks to many women before them, with wide open doors.<\/p>\n

After all is said and done<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

I have learned that women, like myself, who want it all need to have certain things in mind.
\n1.<\/span><\/strong> Define what \u201chaving it all\u201d means to you.
\n2.<\/span><\/strong> Strike out on your own \u2014 gradually, if needed.
\n3.<\/span><\/strong> Make your own rules.<\/p>\n

Y<\/span>ou can live the life you imagine, too. The first step is knowing what that looks like.It\u2019s time to stop fooling ourselves, says a woman who left a position of power: the women who have managed to be both mothers and top professionals are superhuman, rich, or self-employed.
